NAMA Matrimonial services

Web enabled-access for Registered users of NAMA Matrimonial Services. 

We have recently revised our Matrimonial Services with reduced fees and additional matrimonial coordinator.  

Registered users (Candidates who have been listed in matrimonial database ) of this service will be able to contact the interested candidates directly at the following  http://www.nama.info/contact/contact_login.asp .  This capability is in place since September 2001.  

If you do not have web access, you can contact  the  Service Coordinators on the week ends. 

If you want to use our matrimonial services , you can now use our new online registration at  the following link: http://www.nama.info/nama_registrations.asp. 

Requests for new listing in the matrimonial section of our website will get quicker web access, if you registers online, and pay the fees via Paypal, since this will minimize the administrative efforts. (If you do not have paypal account, enter the information online and mail the check payable to NAMA, Inc., to  Smt.Mangala Kadaba , 2 Mundy Rd., East Brunswick NJ 08816.).

After you complete your online registration, and we receive your payment (either through Paypal confirmation or mailed check), the registration data will be loaded in to our matrimonial database. Subsequently you will be notified by email with your new login/password information for accessing the matrimonial database, upon which you can communicate directly by email with interested candidates. 

Matrimonial Service Policies/Fee structure

NAMA members and non-members can use the matrimonial services. The  e-mail will  be a required field to facilitate automatic correspondence with interested parties using our new web services. The  fee structure and the benefits for each category are given below:

The web listings will be updated at the beginning of every year to update the candidate’s ages and their status.  Those candidates  who have been engaged or married  previously will be removed from the listings.  In the past, very few members have taken the effort to inform us about such information in a timely manner. We will be sending reminders to everyone  periodically to update their status.

(A) $11 per year for non members
(B) Free listing for children of Life members, who pay one time annual membership fee of $100. 
(C) Patrons pay $1,000, and get free matrimonial services for their children and their siblings

Matrimonial Service Guidelines

Please follow the procedures below:

• You need to fill up the  Matrimonial Data form, which can be downloaded from NAMA homepage and send either through e-mail or the postal service to Mangala kadaba .(You can also fill up online at http://www.nama.info/nama_registrations.asp)
• • Candidate MUST be listed in database, before requesting information about those already listed
• Call either of the matrimonial coordinators, Mangala kadaba  or Nagu Satyan during weekends for matrimonial information.
• The coordinators will verify your membership by asking you for the last name under which your membership is registered. If you have sent your fees recently, please note that it takes about 1 week for the database to be updated.
• Inform the coordinators of the listings that are of interest to you. Please use the associated serial numbers to make it easy to find the specific entries. The coordinators will provide all the matrimonial information that you require over the phone only. This is to protect the privacy of individuals.
• Candidates looking for information must agree to be included in the database.
• Those planning to use matrimonial services should mail  form ( non members with check)  to Mangala Kadaba, 2 Mundy Rd., East Brunswick NJ 08816 with the cheque drawn in favor of NAMA Inc. for the amount ($11).

In addition, we request members to inform us if they get engaged or married, or withdraw due to other priorities. This will save everyone’s time.
We urge young people to get involved in all NAMA get-togethers taking place in all major cities, as this will provide them with an opportunity to network and socialize with people of their own age group

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

(1) Can you provide the copy of the file?

•         Electronic copies of the file containing the matrimonial data will not be provided because of the personal and sensitive data on all the candidates.Information is conveyed through personal phone calls by the candidates to the coordinators.
• (2)   Is posting in the web and/or the newsletter mandatory?
•         Yes. The listing in the web and publishing in the newsletter consists of a generic high level description of the candidate without reference to name. Our experience has been, if you do not let us publish on the website, you do not get many leads.  
• (3)   Is the information on listed candidates available to other candidates within reasonable time?
•         As soon as the required forms and fees are received by the NAMA volunteer coordinators, the candidate is listed in the database and the information posted in the web. When the coordinators are contacted, information about the new candidates are provided to the interested parties
• (4)   Do we have to wait to avail the services?
•         No. Service is continuously available from the date of listing.
• (5)   Do a large number of volunteers have access to the matrimonial database?
•        Only the two coordinators have visibility and access to the data. To reiterate, the entire data is closely controlled.
• (6)   After listing in NAMA, only a few called me. What should I do?
•         Candidates or their listed contacts need to be proactive, and call the coordinators, and obtain the telephone numbers of all candidates they are interested in, and start calling the contacts of listed candidates. This will generate a healthy dialogue. Either you will find someone, or alternatively, you will have the satisfaction of having completed searching this avenue for a matrimonial alliance. Remember, rarely things happen without an effort.
